Cheer Tryouts

Cheer tryouts for 2018/2019 school year will be:
 April 23- 26th and a parent meeting on the 27th if they make the team.
4-6 after school
23-25 will be learning fight song, cheer, jumps and dance
26th will be the actual tryout day. Must bring a waiver and $10

On Wednesday, March 7th we will conduct the School Day SAT for all 11th graders and district approved seniors. As a result of this test, we will be freezing the bells during the test and then running on an alternate bell schedule in the afternoon, which will include lunch and shortened periods 5-7.  Students who are not testing will be assigned to an alternate location until testing concludes.  Testing will take approximately 5 hours.

Students who are testing, please remember to bring #2 pencils, a College Board approved calculator, snacks and a drink.

NHS applications

If you are interested in joining National Honor Society applications are now available here. All applicants must meet the NHS requirements as stated on the application. Remember each application must have two recommendations from a teacher, coach, or sponsor. They can access the teacher recommendation on the NHS website via Bobcat News.

In light of the tragic event that happened at Douglas High School, everyone has their own opinion on what needs to change to prevent another incident like this from happening again. On Friday March 16th, students will have the ability to participate in a Walk-a-Thon to raise money for charities and organizations that work towards supporting mental health assistance through low-cost counseling, raising awareness for gun legislation reform. school safety, and helping those who were affected by the shooting that happened at Douglas High School, just a few minutes away from Boca High. This event gives students the ability to become an active member of their community, voice their own opinion on the subject matter, and enact direct change through their own action, while being in a safe environment coupled with the support of our outstanding school administrators. Starting on Monday March 4th, student can sign up for the event and begin reaching out to family, friends, and local business to sponsor them in walking 17 laps in 1.7 hours.
